A/N: For the biggest Milannut fan out there, my dearest Madeleine aka
x_acid_queen_x who was sadly disappointed with the derby result. I love you sweetie!!! =-]
She sighed again. He was still sitting in the same chair, staring at the same spot outside the window, still thinking about Milan. Sometimes it felt like she was second to anything to do with the club. Times like now, she wondered if she even flicked across his mind.
Deciding to give anything to get his mind off his club a try, she inched towards his armchair.
“P-Paolo, I’m not feeling well.” She said nervously.
“I’m sorry honey.” His eyes never left the spot he was staring at.
She sighed sorrowfully and then waited a few moments. “I think I will go shopping.”
“Have fun dear.” His voice was monotone, unchanging.
She sighed out of frustration then. “I’m leaving you.” Of course it was a lie, but he didn’t have to know that. He could feel guilty for a minute or two, she decided. She turned and started for the door.
A firm hand caught her about the wrist and pulled her backwards. She landed heavily in Paolo’s lap. He held her body tightly against his.
“You are not going anywhere.” His breath was hot against her ear and she swallowed thickly. “You will not leave me. You are mine.”
His hands were moving over her body, slowly skimming her skin causing goosebumps to rise. She released a shaky breath when his mouth skimmed across her neck.
“Remember the promises you made? Remember the ones I made to you?” He was saying, voice deep and husky against her ear. He kissed her neck before continuing.
“For better or worse…” His lips against her neck, making her gasp.
“In sickness and in health…” His lips on her cheek, she sighed as her hands squeezed his thighs.
“For richer, for poorer,” Paolo kissed his way across her cheek to the corner of her mouth.
“Till death do us part.”
His lips closed over hers while his arm pressed her back into his chest. His tongue meshed with hers; his hand was weaving its way in her dark hair. He tugged slightly, removing his lips from hers. Her eyes flew open at the loss of pressure on her lips and was captured in his eyes.
“In hell or high water, you belong to me, my love. No other man would dare take you away from me.” His expression turned into an innocent one. “You wouldn’t leave me, would you?”
She found herself shaking her head.
He looked down at bit his lip, the perfect act of innocence. “Are you sure? I mean, you threatened…”
“Paolo, hush. Hush…” She repeated in a softer tone. She then leaned over to kiss him again, harder. “I will never leave you.”
Paolo grinned under her lips and kissed her back.
It was a promise she would be damned to see that she lived up to.
