Title: Remember When It Rained 1/?
Pairing: David Villa/OFC, Xabi Alonso/OFC
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1,433
A/N: This got in my head and I started a fic for it. Good news is…I got this one planned out so theoretically I’ll update it frequently. *knock on wood* that’s the plan anyway. ;)

Chapter One: Sprinkle
The alarm clock was the most evil invention ever made he decided that morning. When he blinked his sleepy eyes open, he noticed that it had rained that night. The pitch would be slippery if they actually practiced out there today.
The dark gray that surrounded the room was only a few shades darker than what was outside he noticed thanks to the window. It wasn’t raining hardly at all right now, which he noted also before he was distracted by a light whimper.
Turning his head slightly, David smiled when he saw the dark green of Anya’s eyes. She was cute in the mornings with her auburn hair was spread all across her face and her jade eyes peeked out beneath her bangs. With a finger, he lightly brushed the hair out of her eyes as he told her good morning. She responded by smiling slightly and snuggling against his side.
David would like nothing more than to lie here and not move but he knew he had to get up. Valencia needed him for a few hours at least. He reluctantly pushed her away, being careful to move her. Then he leaned down and kissed her ever so gently before going to get his clothes together.
He walked into his bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror for a moment. There were no dark circles under his eyes, no wrinkles. There was a light in his eye that, for anyone that knew, had not been there a year and a half ago. The creature that had undoubtedly stolen his pillow by now was the cause of the light. She made him who he was. She loved him with boundless adoration. As he loved her.
He turned the faucet on and splashed cool water over his face. He then reached for his toothbrush and continued preparations for yet another day as one of Valencia’s most popular players and as the leading striker known to the world as David Villa.

She walked from the kitchen back upstairs in her nightclothes—an oversize tee shirt and socks. She had finished her breakfast of cereal and juice before she had put toast, a glass of milk, and a banana on a tray along with the morning paper before heading back upstairs. It’s what she did every morning. She was the early riser of the household and Xabi said he liked her precious routine.
When she reached the landing where their bedroom was located, she pushed open the door with her foot and closed it just the same way. She walked gracefully across the room, despite the lack of light, and placed the tray on the bedside table. She smiled when she saw Xabi holding onto his pillow with a hand curled under his chin. It made him look like the little boy she knew he was at heart.
Rebecca leaned down and kissed him lightly on his temple as she took her fingers and flecked them through his hair before she kissed her way down the side of his face. She used her lips to find his before she kissed him deeply. Even in sleep, he still responded to her and soon she was on her back with him practically on top of her. When she opened her eyes, his too were open and they smiled down at her.
“Good morning.” She smiled and he, with his voice thick and deep from sleep, replied the same sentiment before kissing her again.
“I love it when you wake me up.” He said a minute later as he pulled her up and into his lap.
“I love waking you up.” Rebecca grinned and kissed him again. When they parted, she hung on to him for a hug and he hugged her tightly back.
“What’s for breakfast?” Xabi looked at tray but frowned when he couldn’t see anything for the darkness. He reached over and flipped on the light as Rebecca spoke.
“Toast and a banana. I finished the cereal on accident.” Rebecca said moving over to sit beside him.
“On accident?” He asked as he pulled the tray to his lap. He handed her the paper so she could re-read her comics while he ate.
“I thought there was more in the box then there was. I qualify that as an accident.” She said as they shared a smile.
“Well I guess I can let you get away with that one.” He started to peel the banana as she opened the paper.
The two enjoyed their routine. The silence was broken only by a few giggles as Rebecca laughed at the comic she was reading. Xabi chewed quietly as the sports page was laid out on the bed and he read.
He had long since decided that routine was a great thing when someone as special as Rebecca was there to share it with. Xabi didn’t mind her odd quirks, like when she insisted on walking in the rain when there was a perfectly good umbrella to be used, and she didn’t mind his quiet nature, like when he had rather read a novel than watch television.
Occasionally they upset their routine inadvertently more often than not it was due to an accident.
“Mm. Xabi, you’re going to be late.” She said after a few minutes of comfortable silence later.
“Oops.” Xabi muttered before getting up and looking for his clothes.
“Hey wait a minute!” Rebecca pouted as Xabi searched the room for something clean to wear.
“Oh, sorry querida.” Xabi walked over, no longer in a rush, and kissed her on her lips. He lingered a moment longer than he should have in an apologetic manner.
“Okay, okay! Go on before you really are late.” Rebecca laughed and waved him off.
“See you this afternoon amor.” Xabi called on his way out the door and Rebecca just sighed contentedly before she flopped backwards on the bed.

David felt the sting of mist as he jogged past the defenders and scored against his own goalkeeper. César tried but failed to catch the ball as it slid into the corner. Several of his nearby teammates slapped David on the back as the Asturian wiped his forehead.
Practice was light because of the rain and the upcoming match against Sevilla. Not that David was complaining, light practice meant he could go home sooner. Going home meant seeing Anya. And seeing Anya meant, most likely, having sex.
David grinned at the thought as he proceeded to go do another drill.
A half hour later found David on his way home. He never really stopped to consider how Anya had wrapped herself around his heart so, but it didn’t really matter to him. He loved her more than life and he knew that she felt the same way. They didn’t always express themselves in the best ways, but they didn’t have too. They shared their feelings with touches and sighs in the most intimate of moments. It worked for them.
“Anya?” David called as soon as he slammed the door behind him. He listened for an answer as he threw his bag off his shoulder and to the corner.
“In here superstar.” Came the reply.
David walked into the living room and saw her. He had to swallow at her attire. She wore short shorts, the kind that left absolutely nothing to imagination, and a tank top. She was standing in a chair near the bookcase while reaching to the top shelf so she missed his blatant staring.
“Don’t you know it’s raining?” He asked stepping further into the room to admire fully.
“Don’t you know I got hot?” She fired back while turning in the chair with her newly retrieved book.
“Did you now?” David got a dark glint in his eye as he approached quickly. Without warning, he wrapped an arm behind her knees and pulled Anya forward till she was trapped between his shoulder and his arm. “Let’s see if we can cool you off.”
“David!” She feigned a scream as she ‘tried’ to escape.
David grinned as he threw her onto the designer sofa in the room. He then crawled on top of her, kissing her as he did so. Instead of saying aloud ‘I missed you’, he spoke with his lips and his fingers as he teased her lips with his tongue and his fingers caressed her sides. Anya did the same. Instead of telling him how much she thought of him throughout the day, she moaned and offered herself to him.
He proceeded to take everything she offered and she in return.
