Title: One Day
Fandom: The Avengers
Characters Thor, Loki
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 125
Warnings: SPOILERS! Movie version of Thor & implied character death
Summary: Thor reflects on the last day he saw Loki.
A/N: Written for the prompt 'tomorrow' for
writerverse.
Thor remembers the darkness in Loki’s eyes when he let go of the staff. He remembers asking Loki not to—couldn’t he see that he was needed in Asgard? No matter how much sentiment he had had, Loki still let himself fall into the darkness, into the unknown and there hadn’t been a single thing Thor could do to save him. Despite his strength and might as a warrior, he’d had to watch his brother fall.
Thor let himself believe that one day he would have the chance to tell Loki how he felt in person. How much he loved him as a brother, as a friend, as so much more, no matter his faults. Maybe one day, maybe tomorrow, Thor would get that chance.
Title: What We Were Prepared For
Fandom: The Avengers
Pairings: implied Clint Barton/Natasha Romanoff
Rating: PG
Warnings: SPOILERS! The Avengers
Word Count: 149
Summary: A small look at Natasha's need to save Clint.
A/N: written for the prompt, "Castles, Knights, & Magic", for
writerverse.
Assassins were trained for very specific reasons: gather intelligence, take out the mark, make it out alive, and do it all over again for the next mission. There was no fantasy; there was only the need to make it out alive with the mission successfully completed. If you weren’t good enough, you paid the price. Natasha knew that. Clint knew that. It wasn’t a complicated concept to grasp.
But Loki changed all that.
Suddenly, Clint wasn’t himself and there was real magic thrown into the mix. Not the silly stuff such as card tricks and rabbits pulled from hats, but actual mind-control magic that could turn a stone-solid spy into a puppet on a string. Suddenly the idea of castles, dragons, magicians, and knights in shining armor became a real possibility and that idea scared Natasha to death. She had to find a way to get Clint back. Fast.
Title: The Avengers and Co.

Title: Breakfast Inquiry
Fandom: The Avengers
Characters: Clint/Natasha, Thor
Rating: PG
Warnings: poor attempt at crack!fic
Word Count: 272
Summary: Thor has questions about Natasha's state of dress.
A/N: Written for the prompts "naked breakfast & need to know" for
writerverse.
“Clint, this is a bad idea… It’s ridiculous!”
“Are you scared?”
“Of course not, don’t be absurd. It’s just…what if we’re seen? What if the others—”
“Actually get up before ten? Relax, Natasha it isn’t going to happ—”
Any other words Clint had on the issue were frozen in place when they saw that there was in fact an Avenger up before them. A remarkable feat considering it was only six. Natasha made a very surprising squeak before hiding behind Clint. Clint couldn’t react properly because by then they had been noticed.
“GREETINGS, COMRADES!” Thor beamed and Clint had to shush him so that he wouldn’t wake the others. “My apologies. I merely wished to make it known to you how pleased I was to see your faces this morning!”
Clint wanted to face palm at the ‘whisper’ Thor had taken up instead.
“Might I inquire something, dear friends?” Thor asked a moment later.
“Go for it, star shine.” Clint muttered and stood proudly with his arms crossed over his chest.
“Why is the Lady Natasha and yourself, sir, vastly underdressed? Has the magical machine that spins in circles ruined your garments once again?”
Clint thought back to the time when Tony had ‘accidentally’ stuck one of Natasha’s suits in with the rest of the team’s whites. Everything had been gray for ages.
Instead of answering properly, Clint pulled an almost-blushing Natasha out from behind his back and held her in his arms. He didn’t care that Thor saw them; he had nothing to be ashamed of. “Sorry, Thor. That’s a strictly ‘need to know’ basis. Now, let’s have breakfast!”
Title: Desperation
Fandom: The Avengers
Characters: Clint/Natasha
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 267
Summary: After a mission, Clint and Natasha have to make sure each other is okay.
A/N: Written for the prompt 'desperation' for
writerverse.
After a fight that had been worse than most and a few broken or at least bruised ribs later, and the Hawk and the Spider managed to escape from the warehouse just as it exploded into a fireball. Hot metal and flying glass amongst other shrapnel flew out at them. Clint landed on the hard concrete first, already pulling Natasha into his body to shield her from the worst of the damage.
Their ears rang and hearts and heads pounded away with pain and disorientation. Natasha’s fingers pulled at Clint’s arm and her hand pulled his head back with a sharp tug of his hair. He winced and found her screaming at him.
“Are you all right? Are you okay?” He could barely hear her over the ringing in his own ears. He nodded and he saw her visibly relax a little. There was still a desperation in her eyes and he couldn’t resist.
Twisting his fingers in her hair, he tugged her closer and kissed her desperately. He tried to convey to her that he was just fine, and a kiss seemed to be the only way how. She held tightly to him, and he to her, until the ringing in their ears both lessened and the only sound between them was the fast-paced beating of their hearts. Their breathing mixed together as they rested their foreheads together.
Natasha was the first to pull away, tugging his hand to lead him away from the wreckage. Her relieved laugh carried back on the wind to linger in his ears where the explosion had faded away in smoke.
Title: Peaceful Sea
Fandom: The Avengers
Characters: Loki/Natasha
Rating: R
Warnings: AU! Natasha is a goddess; butchering of Norse mythology
Word Count: 287
Summary: There is only one way to calm a god...
A/N: Written for the prompts 'calm the sea' and 'deep and dark' for
writerverse.
She was a nymph that had managed to catch his attention; of all the gods, it had to have been him. They had been married for a while, years if they had been human, and still she had found no cure to spare him his tormented rages against his father, his brother, or the other magical kind. He was inclined to go where the winds took him, rage and all. Try as she might, Natasha had found no way to save her husband, Loki, the pain of being scorned.
That was, until, she had finally given in to his wrath by giving him some of her own frustration at not being able to help him.
She had kissed him on the cliffs above the sea, simply to shut him up from his tirade. He had paused mid-rant before seizing her about the waist and crashing her body into his. Loki had pulled them over the ledge and Natasha’s fear leapt up fast, before Loki had safely settled them on the sand below. He chuckled at her fear as he brushed some of the flame-red hair from her face and kissed her again.
“My little nymph,” he smiled genuinely, and Natasha wondered if she had truly been able to pull him from the dark depths that so often ate at his soul. “My precious life...”
His words trailed away as he kissed her lips, her cheek, and lower as he slowly started to undress her. Natasha closed her eyes and enjoyed the feel of his hands and his mouth on her skin. She would let him love her; after all, she was a dutiful wife who had finally managed to calm the beast that could be her husband.
